When I founded this organisation in December 2015, my vision was to create a dedicated platform to serve communities and foster social justice. We started as the Further Hope Community Support Ltd, embarked on a mission to prove that through collective action and compassion, we could provide meaningful support to those in need.

Over the past decade, I have been honoured to lead our evolution. As our focus sharpened to better serve our roots and our new home, we became the Burundian Diaspora in Australia (BDA) Ltd in 2020. Today, operating as the Australian Charity for Burundi (ACB) Ltd, our mission has matured into a dedicated humanitarian effort to support vulnerable communities in rural Burundi while maintaining a bridge of hope for the diaspora in Australia.

Our commitment to transparency and integrity has been a priority from the beginning, leading to our official registration as a charity with the ACNC in April 2016. As we look toward the future, we remain steadfast in our goal to create lasting change and empower every individual we serve.
